Police name 26-year-old motorcyclist killed in Aberdeenshire crash

Police have named the young motorcyclist killed in a head-on smash on an Aberdeenshire road.
Christopher Watts died when his orange Honda Hornet collided with a silver BMW 320d on the B977 Echt to the Birks road.
The 26-year-old was living in Aberdeen but is originally from the Kinotre area.
Paramedics were called to the accident just outside Echt at about 3pm on Friday.
The three women from the car, including a 16-year-old, were shaken but uninjured.
Police closed the road for four-and-a-half hours to allow collision investigators to piece together what happened.
A police spokesman said: “Further to the release concerning the fatal RTC on the B977 near Echt, Aberdeenshire, Police Scotland can confirm that the 26-year-old motorcyclist who died was Christopher Watts, originally from the Kintore area.
“The collision happened at around 2:50pm on Friday, October 16 and involved an orange Honda Hornet motorcycle and a grey BMW car. Inquiries remain ongoing at this time.”
