Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted on an Aberdeen train.
The British Transport Police are examining CCTV footage after a 20-year-old woman was allegedly touched inappropriately by a man in his 50s.
The incident took place on the 4.39pm Dyce to Edinburgh Waverly service.
The woman left the train at Haymarket station in Edinburgh and reported the incident to rail staff and police.
The man, who spoke with a Tyneside accent is 5ft 10″ with short grey hair and wore a round-necked light blue t-shirt, a brown long-sleeved top underneath, brown trousers and had a red tattoo on his right hand.
It is believed he was travelling to Newcastle.
Detective Constable David McAlister, the BTP officer in charge of the inquiry, said: “I am asking anyone who has information which can help identify the man responsible to contact BTP as a matter of urgency.”
