Three vehicle A96 crash as snow causes havoc on Moray roads

Emergency services have been called to a three car crash on one of Moray’s busiest roads as heavy snow falls across the region.
The vehicles were involved in the incident on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road near Keith at about 5.35pm, just minutes before a car crashed onto its roof between Elgin and Rothes.
Two people are being seen to by paramedics and two ambulances are in attendance at the A96 – however, nobody is said to be badly hurt.
A police spokeswoman said: “We are still at the scene. It was a three vehicle road traffic collision just outside of Keith. Two people are being checked out by the ambulance service just now. I don’t think it is anything serious.”
Meanwhile about 5.50pm a silver Renualt Clio crashed onto its roof on the neighbouring A941 Craigellachie to Elgin road.
One witness said: “It was a silver Clio that went on its roof. There is heavy snow up here just now.”
