Flooding submerges Scottish train station

Travel chaos for hogmanay could prove to be a perfect Storm (Frank) with roads and rail being badly hit by flood waters.

ScotRail have tweeted this picture showing Dumbarton station, completely flooded.

It may be time to swap the trains for canal boats…

A statement on the ScotRail Website says: “If you’re travelling on one of our trains and your journey is delayed 30 minutes or more, we guarantee to offer vouchers towards the cost of a future journey.

“On top of this, if a delay to a ScotRail train causes you to miss an onward connection and be delayed further, then you can count that as part of your Delay Repay claim.”
