Passengers forced off Aberdeen train after brake fault

Passengers travelling on a train from Aberdeen were forced to get off hours early due to a brake fault.
The 8.42am Aberdeen to Glasgow Queen Street service stopped just after 9.30am at Arbroath and travellers had to wait for alternate transport to continue their journey.
A spokeswoman for ScotRail said, “Alternative road transport was arranged for customers with onward connections, and other passengers transferred on to the next service passing through Arbroath station at around 10am.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
