Man suffers serious injuries after Aberdeen scooter crash

A man has been seriously injured after a crash between a scooter and a car this morning near Aberdeen airport..

Argyll Road at Aberdeen Airport is closed and there is very slow traffic in both directions between the Dyce Drive junction and the Brent Road junction, because of the crash.

Police are directing traffic.

The collision happened on Argyll Road, Dyce, near the Gulf service station, at about 6:20am and is thought to have been between a white VW Scirocco and a black KYMCO scooter.

The road next to Aberdeen Airport is closed in both directions.

The scooter driver has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Local diversions are being put in place and police are awaiting vehicle recovery.
