A north-east road remains closed this morning as workers carry out emergency roadworks.
The A96 Forres – Elgin road is closed in both directions at West Road in Elgin while work is carried out to fix a burst water pipe.
Drivers will be forced to use Pluscarden Road and Wittet Drive while a section of carriageway beside the Dr Gray’s Hospital roundabout is excavated.
A Bear Scotland spokeswoman added: “Scottish Water is closing the A96 to allow their teams to safely complete emergency repairs to a burst water main.”
The road is expected to re-open at 10am.
