Emergency on Highland rail route causes train delays

Train services are delayed through the Highlands as emergency services attend an incident on the line between Aviemore and Inverness.

Scotrail tweeted about the incident just after 9pm – but said they expected services to return to normal by 10pm.

It is not clear what has caused the emergency on the rail line at this stage – but police and ambulance are reportedly at the scene.
