Police have been called to a crash on a notorious Aberdeenshire road.
The two vehicle incident took place on the A947 Dyce to Turriff road just before 4pm.
Police, fire and rescue and ambulance services were all called to the scene between Newmachar and Oldmeldrum.
Two fire appliances, from Inverurie and Oldmeldrum, attended the incident and assisted paramedics.
The road is expected to remain closed for some time.
Diversions are in place at the A920 for southbound traffic and at the Chapel of Hillock junction of the A947 for northbound motorists.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “We were there, we still have got one appliance in attendance. There was nobody trapped, we just assisted the ambulance service and police.
“We had one team from Inverurie and one from Oldmeldrum. We got the call at 3.51pm.”
