This dashcam footage captures the moment a the lorry ploughed into stationary traffic leaving drivers with life changing injuries.
Anthony Mitchell, 63, of Dunston Heath, Stafford, was convicted of careless driving and disqualified from driving for five years.
He was also fined £100.
The DAF HGV lorry that he was driving collided with slow moving traffic near J7 of the M5 Northbound, shortly before 1.15am on Saturday, June 20 2015.
The resulting collision caused life changing injuries to a woman and child travelling in a Fiat Bravo car that was hit by the lorry, forcing it to collide with the rear of another lorry in front.
