A romantic Brian Blessed impersonator is booming with pride after surprised his girlfriend by proposing to her in a cinema – with a darling movie trailer.

Jas Halsey, a voice actor and film enthusiast, had to make a quick escape from the Odeon cinema before the trailer that he shot and starred in was about to come on.

His girlfriend, Charlene Berwick, thought it was just a regular date night until she saw her other half’s face on the big screen.

Jas, 30, said: “I said my stomach wasn’t good and I jumped up and went to the loo.

“Charlene was cross because I left her sat alone in the cinema.”
