A pair of lovebirds had an absolute hoot on their wedding day when an owl swooped down the aisle to deliver their rings.
The traditional wedding was given a twist by the groom Karl Wilkinson, 43, who wanted to surprise his partner of 10 years Emma-Jane, 33.
Karl even roped in Church of Scotland minister Adam Hood who was sworn to secrecy in order to not spoil the surprise.
The stunt left onlookers stunned. Reverend Hood said: “The owls had a deep symbolic meaning for the couple, so I was very pleased to take part in what was a very happy occasion.
“The service was completely traditional until it came time for the exchange of rings.
