The outfits ranged from the weird to the wonderful when the racetrack met the catwalk at a typically colourful Ladies Day at the Cheltenham Festival.
Record crowds attended Prestbury Park and the glamorous and flamboyant were on display with the £10,000 award for best dressed lady going to Una O’Farrell from Co Tyrone.
Among the celebrities, who gathered at the famous venue were Zara Phillips, accompanied by her mother Princess Anne, and the Duchess of Cornwall.
The latter presented a trophy to jockey Noel Fehily after his mount, the Special Tiara, won the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase – the top race of the day.
Trainer Henry De Bromhead, gaining his fourth Cheltenham Festival winner said: “No horse deserves it more than this lad. Noel gave Special Tiara a super ride – I am absolutely delighted for him.”
A new record crowd was set for the second day of The Festival with 57,681 race-goers in attendance.
