Both retail giants said they would be reducing the price of their petrol and diesel by 1p a litre from tomorrow. In Asda’s case, this means its petrol will fall to 119.7p a litre and its diesel will be 123.7p a litre. Asda said this was the first time its petrol had dipped under 120p a litre in four years. With international oil prices plunging, supermarkets have steadily reduced pump prices over recent weeks. ends
