WATCH: Man creates prosthetic arm to accomplish dream

A man who lost his arm in freak biking accident has invented a prosthetic replacement which will allow him to fly a plane.

Steven Robinson’s limb was torn off when he collided with another biker over 30 years ago.

Initial attempts to rebuild the body part failed and until now, the 51-year-old has never worn a prosthetic alternative.

But when Mr Robinson realised if he wanted to pursue his life long dream of getting his private flying licence, he would need a functioning arm.

After several failed attempts from the NHS, he set out to design and build his own from scratch.
