Shocking footage shows the moment a driver risked his life after driving through a level-crossing before reversing back onto the tracks
The yellow Robin Reliant, captured on CCTV, can be seen passing through the crossing before bizarrely reversing back onto the tracks as the barriers come down.
Now an appeal has been launched to track down the driver who risked their lives and the lives of others in the daring manoeuvre.
The incident took place at Pinxton Level Crossing, Notts., shortly before 12.30am on Sunday, June 21.
CCTV footage released after yellow Robin Reliant drives through barriers at Pinxton Level Crossing Inspector Anton Menzies said: “The car drove across the crossing then for some reason reversed back onto the tracks striking the crossing barrier as it was coming down.
“The car then reverses into the opposite barrier before coming to standstill on the tracks.
