Scotland Yard has confirmed that he was taken to hospital by helicopter and his family has been informed. Police have a suspect in custody. The shooting happened at around 12.45pm during an operation involving specialist firearms officers and members of the Trident anti-gang unit. There are no other reports of injuries.
