Police officials in France have confirmed that the shootout took place in a restaurant in the 10th arrondissment, or district, of the capital. It is understood that 11 people have been killed in the incident. The restaurant, believed to be Le Carillon, is understood to be in the same general neighborhood as the Charlie Hebdo offices.
