Scottish tennis ace Andy Murray has welcomed his first child as his wife Kim gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday morning.
The birth was confirmed this morning with fans taking to social media to send their well wishes.
Murray sent an emotional message to heavily pregnant Kim after finishing runner-up in the Australian Open last month saying: “And finally to my wife Kim, who I am sure is going to be watching back home.
“You have been a legend the last two weeks and I will be on the next flight home.”
Fans took to social media to congratulate their hero on becoming father, including First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
Congratulations @andy_murray and Kim! Wish your little angel to be healthy & happy ???
