VIDEO: Dashcam catches distressing moment driver smashes into pedestrian

A dashboard-camera captures a van driver’s view as he heads down a road in Kings Norton, Birmingham.

It shows the shocking moment when he smashes into a pedestrian.

A van parked on the left hand side blocks a pedestrian waiting to cross from view of oncoming traffic, until virtually the last second.

When the pedestrian runs into the road, the van driver has no time to react and the two collide – smashing the van’s windscreen.

Luckily the pedestrian only suffered minor injuries.
