A Jaguar driver who sped through red lights and drove on pavements as he led police on a six-minute chase through narrow residential streets has been spared jail.
Reckless Dean Michael Peplow, 29, drove off at speed after spotting a police patrol vehicle on January 5 this year.
Shocking dash-cam footage from the officers’ car shows the white Jaguar X-Type, which has a V6 engine, narrowly missing parked cars as he leads police along quiet side streets.
He also fails to give way at junctions and drives along pavements during the high-speed chase in a built-up area of Warwick.
The night-time pursuit finally came to an end of six minutes when Peplow smashed one of the Jaguar’s alloy wheels on a kerb causing the car to break down.
