Two people have been taken to hospital after their car crashed into a bungalow, police said.
The occupant of the property suffered shock in the accident, which happened in Dudley Lane, Seaton Burn, North Tyneside at about 10.15am on Wednesday.
A photo from the scene showed the car – a red Vauxhall Vectra – on its side on a grassed area, with two large holes punched into the brickwork at the side of the bungalow.
Northumbria Police said the two occupants of the car were treated by ambulance staff and taken to Cramlingtron Hospital.
Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
One person in the bungalow was shocked but otherwise unhurt.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and anyone with information is asked to call 101.
