The Scottish Greens are reportedly due to launch a second campaign for independence this autumn.
It will aim to prepare the ground for another poll, which First Minister Nicola Sturgeon described as “highly likely” in the wake of the EU referendum.
A drive by the SNP is also reportedly expected to occur following the party’s deputy leadership contest.
The news came as Scottish Secretary David Mundell urged the first minister to remove the threat of a possible second referendum.
He also claimed that some in the SNP see the UK vote for Brexit simply as an opportunity to further the case for independence.
A spokesman for the Scottish Greens confirmed that proposals for relaunching the Green Yes campaign would be announced to members before the party’s conference in October.
