This is the moment a man chased after his runaway car on a busy motorway.
The video, posted online by Swiss police, Police Neuchâteloise, shows the car begin to move away from the layby and head into the chevrons between the motorway carriageway.
Seconds later the man, believed to be the owner, darts across the motorway after it – while oncoming traffic barrels towards him.
Luckily the oncoming traffic is able to slow down to allow the man to safely get back across to the other side and retrieve his car.
The incident occurred on a Swiss motorway and was captured by the police from the lakeside town of Neuchâtel.
