We’re all wondering what Donald Trump will actually do after his inauguration today.
Here’s a round-up of the key promises he’s made throughout his campaign
– and since he won the election.
The Donald has said he will repeal Obamacare and replace it with a new
healthcare bill, which he calls “very complicated stuff”.
In a now infamous speech referring to himself in the third person, he said on
immigration: “Donald J Trump is calling for the total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our representatives can figure out what the hell is going on”.
He’s also promised to withdraw the US from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, which he called “another disaster”.
On the UK relations front, Mr Trump called Britain an “amazing ally”, and said they would be at the front of the queue for trade deals post-Brexit.
Perhaps the most famous of his policies was to build a wall between the US and Mexico. He assured the public at a press conference that Mexico will eventually pay for it “in some form”.
