“Stay safe out there. Praying for all the people and animals today in this horrific fire.”
This fire, the Woolsey Fire, is one of two burning through southern California.
The two blazes have scorched over 20,000 acres, officials said last week. They also warn the death count, which stands at 48, could continue to rise while firefighters attempt to contain the fire.
The flames all but obliterated the Northern California town of Paradise, population 27,000, and ravaged surrounding areas on Thursday.
The exact number of missing was unclear, but many friends and relatives of those living in the fire zone said they had not heard from loved ones.
