This is the breathtaking moment a woman was rescued from her sinking car in a New Zealand harbour.
Moments from drowning, the terrified woman can be seen pinned against the back windscreen of her BMW.
Police officers couldn’t open the doors of the car after it crashed into Waitemata Harbour in Auckland and attempts to smash the windows with truncheons failed.
Quick-thinking officers then turned to rocks in a bid to smash the windows and eventually free the woman.
