Thousands of comic book fans around the world are teaming up today to break the world record for the most people wearing their favourite superhero costumes.
The World of DC Comics Super Hero world record event is part of a three-day celebration for fans, which also includes games, films showings and fun runs.
Fans young and old from 15 cities around the globe are taking part, from Cardiff and London to Los Angeles, Paris, Madrid, Mexico City, Rome and Queensland.
And although Batman and Superman were among the most popular characters, Wonderwoman, Catwoman, The Flash and the Green Lantern also made several appearances.
Warner Bros and DC Entertainment are aiming to set the record for the largest gathering of people dressed as DC superheroes at multiple venues held within 24 hours.
But although hundreds of people turned out to join in the fun in Quezon City in the Philippines, some fans were left disappointed after they were prevented from taking part in the record attempt as they were not dressed as DC comic characters.
