A three year old boy was stopped going through Dublin airport security on August 15 after his ‘Minion fart blaster’ showed up on X-ray scanners.
Following an inspection of the fart blaster, airport security confiscated the plastic toy off Leo Fitzpatrick due to the trigger action making the device fall into part of a vigorous security routine that bans firearms and firearm replicas from commercial flights.
The trigger action of the toy sets off a fart sound whilst releasing a banana smelling fragrance.
A friend of the family took to twitter following the incident to express her disbelief in Leo having his fart blaster seized.

Leo’s mum, Daire Fitzpatrick, 25, said despite being frequent fliers in order to visit family in Ireland she was left “surprised” and “frustrated” by the incident after never experiencing an issue with airport security before.
The airport have commented that they will return the toy to Fitzpatrick upon their return to Ireland from the United Kingdom.
