Three police officers have been injured in a shooting near a health clinic in Colorado.
Colorado Springs police commander Kirk Wilson said the incident took place near the Planned Parenthood clinic in the city, and the gunman has been “contained”.
The condition of the three injured officers is not yet known.
People in the area were earlier told to stay away from the “active shooter scene” because it was not secure, and those inside a nearby shopping centre were advised not to leave.
Planned Parenthood is a women’s health clinic that provides abortions at some locations.
