Torry

Albyn School
Albyn School pupils watch as Professor Hugh Pennington (centre) and George Sinton of the Department of Bacteriology, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Medical School, demonstrate an early piece of medical equipment in 1988. The 100-year old Lister Antiseptic Spray was devised by Dr Joseph Lister. The pupils were also shown phials containing bacteria during the visit from the experts in 1988.
Old Aberdeen
A 1965 opening ceremony to mark the conversion of a former alms house (Mitchell Hospital) for the widows and burgesses of Old Aberdeen into nine modern self-contained flatlets for elderly women from the area.

Bridge of Don
Competitors in the first heat of the sulky racing get off to a flying start at the Royal Northern Show at Bridge of Don in July, 1965. The show site later became home to the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
