1980: Sergeant Major Lennie Lowe puts some bite into the proceedings at the Gordons Highlanders regimental study day in the Hardgate, Aberdeen.
He told the lads that it wont be all sunshine and glamour in their Belize tour in the Caribbean in the spring.
And just to keep them in order Sgt.-Maj. Lowe, from Aberdeen, will be going along as well.
Gordon Highlanders from throughout the country were meeting in Aberdeen today to co-ordinate the regiments recruiting campaign.

The Gordon Highlanders gave a Royal salute to the Prince of Wales in Aberdeen last night.
Thousands of people crowded into the city's Duthie Park to watch as Prince Charles, Colonel-in-Chief of the Gordon Highlanders, took the salute at the Trooping the Colour.

From now on, the Gordon Highlanders go modern with a mobile recruiting office, the first one in the history of the regiment. It contains everything an enlisting team might need, including mini-cinema.
