This week we’re featuring the popular Hayfield Riding Centre.

Our images, taken in the 60s, 70s and 80s show youngsters making the most of the facilities at the horse-riding centre in Aberdeen.

1969: The new indoor riding school of the Hayfield Centre at Hazlehead, Aberdeen, which the public are invited to visit next Saturday. Below is Miss Morven Will on Manolito who can unbolt his loosebox door.

1986: Studying their mounts are these youngsters who took part in the hunter trial competition at Hayfield Riding School, Aberdeen, on Saturday.
1987: With winter's cold starting to bite and less outdoor exercising for the horses at the Hayfield Riding School at Hazlehead, Aberdeen, attention is paid even more to the warmth and feeding of the mounts. These young girls have their work cut out for them and spend most of their holiday time with their favourites. Gelding Dollar is the horse being fussed over by Tracey Farquhar and companions Lucia McOmish, Jan Williams, Shea Buchanan and Helen Stuart.
1987: Hayfield Riding Centre held their trophy show over the weekend, and showing off their silverware are winners (left to right) Joe Ronald, Aberdeen, with the Drummond Shield; Mr John Crawford, centre owner; Toots Waters, Watten, Caithness, with the Selbie Shield; Lynne Prentice, Aberdeen, with the George Mair Trophy; Mr Andrew Haig, Newtonhill, with the small medallion and winner of the Stephen Hadley Trophy, which is held by winter series judge Mr Bill Strachan.
