This week’s Aberdonian has taken a look back at archive images of Johnston Gardens.

With more people walking in the city due to the Covid lockdown, this park has seen its popularity surge in the past 12 months.

1976: Little but good although it only extends to three acres Johnston Gardens is one of the loveliest parks in Aberdeen. Its streams, pools, rocks and waterfalls give it an all-the-year round charm, and there are large groups of primulas and herbaceous plants.
