1986: Winner of the violin (10 and under) section in the Aberdeen and North East of Scotland Music Festival, Katie Sarah Jones, Ellon Primary, strikes a winning pose with runners up, from left, Louise Cumming and Angela Bell, both Auchterellon, who were second equal and third placed Linnea Nicol, Hazlehead.
1986: Youngsters from Tarves, Udny Green and Aberdeen's St Margaret's School gather outside the Kirk House in Aberdeen during the music festival yesterday. Competitors in the descant solo contest for under nines, they were judged by Colin Touchin (extreme left).
