This week we’ve searched our archives for some of the images of Aberdeen students making the best of university life hidden away in our archives.

They will also be collecting seaweed samples for botanist and TV personality Dr David Bellamy who will use them for his work in pollution investigation.
Their main task is to collect peat samples from the seabed to help them establish at what rate the sea level has risen since the Ice Age.

All 10 divers are members of Aberdeen University Sub-Aqua Club. The base for the four-week trip will be North Uist but a party will also be going to the uninhabited island of Pabbay and to Harris.
The third task is to study the activities, including the territorial claims of the edible crab.
