1979: Two big log constructions have appeared in the adventure playground of Aberdeen's Greenfern Primary School and they were built by a former lumberjack! The two wooden bridges were constructed in about four days by Mr Jim Cumming, who works in Aberdeen district Councils leisure and recreation department.

1985: Five-year-old Sandie Duthie presents a cheque for £170 to Mrs Joyce Westaby, a committee member of the Save the Children Fund. The nursery class and Primary 1 and 2 pupils at Greenfern School raised the cash with a carol concert
1992: Mrs Mutch’s primary one pupils at Greenfern Infant School.
1989: School cleaner Doris Thom of Arnage Drive, Aberdeen, is given a big cheer by youngsters at Greenfern Primary School to mark her retirement after 32 years service. Pupils Shaheen Salarapur and Ross Borthwell (pictured centre with Mrs Thom) handed over gifts of flowers and a cheque from pupils and parents. Doris also received chocolates and a cheque from staff.
