1970 - Four elephants from Sir Robert Fosset’s Circus parade along Guild Street, Aberdeen, to the Queen’s Links
In a week where the sun has finally decided to turn up in Aberdeen, we’ve dug through the archives to look back at some great July memories in the city.
Summer is a time for making memories to last a life time with schools out, the sun shining and fun events coming to town.
This week we’ve dug out photos from as far back as 1936 with many taking a dip in the old fresh water beach baths.
There’s also signs of change through the years with four elephants from Sir Robert Fosset’s Circus parading through the streets of the Granite City on their way to the beach back in 1970.
We have the unfamiliar sight of cars parked on a very busy Union Street back in 1966 and the results of several festivals in tow
What are your favourite July memories? Are you in any of our pictures? Let us know!
