Aberdeen Technical College was the place to go for practical education.
From baking to bricklayering, Aberdeen Technical College had it all and shaped the lives of many young people throughout the years.

1986 – Students Derek Watt and Angus Ewen at the annual bricklayers competition.
1985 – Primary 4 pupils at Bucksburn’s Cloverfield School get a basic grounding in astronomy.
1991 – Students Roderick Wright, Heather Black and Elaine Strath admire their cake for Clark Autocentre.
1981- Robert Trail, senior lecturer on welding, discusses the course with first-year students.
1986- Electrical studies staff and students look over the roof dish aerial at Aberdeen Technical College.
1982 – Marcus O’Donnell, Derek Tierney, Jonathan Hall, Gary Allenby and Michael Taggart work on a banana boat.
1988 – Kay Taylor, Aileen Lamb, Carla Esslemont, Kerry Hylands, Deborah Smith, Elaine Wainwright and Marion Watson.
1986 – Nursery nurses set up a race to raise money for the Royal Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
1982- Bakery students William Mearns, Ian Smith, David McFarlane and Andrew Beattie have triumphed in the final heat of a national baking contest.
1985- First-year hairdressing students Helen Burnett, Angela Haddle and Angela Mowat.
1988 – Members of the London-based Nautical Institute visit Aberdeen Technical College.
1989- Nursery nurse student Lisa Walker gets unexpectedly caught up in the college’s 25th anniversary celebrations with special guests, Scotland The What? stars Steve Robertson, left, and Buff Hardie.
