Earlier this week, we celebrated International Women’s Day. But we can’t celebrate without acknowledging the work of Girlguiding.
Girlguiding is the largest organisation dedicated solely to girls in the UK and provides an inclusive, empowering environment for girls to thrive. The organisation was founded after spirited young girls argued that Scouting was not only for boys – but girls too.
The group welcomes all girls between four and 18 to set aside time to make friends, develop useful life skills and raise awareness and money for important causes.
To celebrate the empowerment and inspiration Girlguiding has gifted young women and girls with over the years, we have pulled together some of our favourite photos of Girl Guides from our archive.
Were you a Girl Guide? Do you have any treasured memories from your Guiding years? Let us know in the comments.
