First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is expected to announce a £4.9 million grant for a manufacturing campus that will create 100 jobs in Angus today.
The Scottish Enterprise grant to Baker Hughes, a GE company, will enable the oilfield services group to develop a £31m campus in Montrose.
Test and assembly, research and development and workforce training facilities will be established on the 35-acre campus which will be based near the company’s two premises at the northern end of the town.
It will also develop new products for use in deep water oil and gas exploration.
Ms Sturgeon will announce the funding at the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service conference which is being held near Cumbernauld.
