Almost 150 people with confirmed or suspected coronavirus are in hospitals across the north and north-east.
The latest figures from the Scottish Government also show a further 35 people from the north or north-east have tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.
Grampian has now had 813 confirmed cases – up from 782 on Tuesday while the Highlands recorded a further four new cases, taking the region’s total to 236.

There are 104 people in hospital in the north-east, with 10 in intensive care and 43 people in the Highlands.
The islands recorded no new cases in the past 24 hours. Shetland has had 54 confirmed cases, the Western Isles’ total is six and there have been seven confirmed cases on Orkney.
A total of 53,082 people in Scotland have been tested so far. Of these, 42, 048 were confirmed negative and 11,034 were positive.
Data released by The National Records of Scotland (NRS) today data shows up to April 26 there has been a total of 2,272 deaths registered in Scotland as a result of coronavirus, with 886 of these in care homes.
A regional breakdown of the figures show that of the 209 deaths recorded: 129 deaths were in Grampian, 72 in Highland, six in Shetland and two in Orkney.
Speaking at her daily briefing, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said six NHS staff and five members of the social care workforce have died – though she stressed they would not have necessarily contracted the virus in their workplace.
