There have been no new confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the Highlands and islands in the past 24 hours, latest figures show.
Today’s update from the Scottish Government is the third day in a row the north of Scotland has not recorded any new cases of the virus.
The total for Highland remains at 331, 54 for Shetland, seven on Orkney and six in the Western Isles.
There are currently six people in the Highlands receiving hospital treatment for coronavirus.
Meanwhile in the Grampian area, there have been eight people diagnosed with Covid-19 since Saturday, taking the region’s total to 1,189.
There are 89 people in hospital in the north-east, with five in intensive care.
A total of 87,660 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date. Of these, 73,123 were confirmed negative and 14,537 were positive.
The latest update also shows 2,103 patients who tested positive have died since the outbreak began.
The pilot, which is expected to last two weeks, will allow NHS Fife, NHS Lanarkshire and NHS Highland to test out the software which contact tracers will use to collect the information that they need digitally.
The Scottish Government said this builds on existing contact tracing technology in place across the NHS and will allow health boards to trace more contacts faster.
