A further 14 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Scotland in the past 24 hours.
The latest update from the Scottish Government shows the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began has risen to 15,653.
A total of 128, 495 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date and of these, 112,842 were confirmed negative.
Of the people who have tested positive, 641 were in hospital as of last night – 15 of whom were in intensive care. There are a further six more people in intensive care with suspected Covid-19.
Today’s update also shows since March 5, 3,820 inpatients have been discharged from hospital.
Nicola Sturgeon announced at today’s daily briefing that seven new Covid-19 deaths have been registered in Scotland in the past 24 hours. The country’s death toll is now 2,422.
A regional breakdown of the figures show there has been one case of coronavirus recorded in the Grampian area since Monday. The north-east’s total number of positive cases is now 1,287. A total of 62 people are being treated for the virus in hospital.
There have been no cases recorded in the north of Scotland since the last update.
The Highlands’ total remains at 340, 54 for Shetland, eight on Orkney and six in the Western Isles.
