There were two new cases of coronavirus in the north and north-east over the past 24 hours, fresh statistics have shown. The total number of cases in Grampian has increased by one to 1,288 and in the Highlands by one to 341. Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles had no new cases, leaving their totals on 54, eight and six respectively. There are fewer than five people in intensive care with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 in each of the five regions. A total of 2,439 people who tested positive for coronavirus in Scotland have died, an increase of five from yesterday.
