A further two people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the north and north-east in the past 24 hours.
The latest update from the Scottish Government shows there has been eight new cases recorded across the country since Saturday, taking the nation’s total to 18,236.
A total of 255,427 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS Scotland labs and UKG to date. Of these, 237,191 were confirmed negative.
Of the people who have tested positive, 452 were in hospital last night with five in intensive care. There are another eight people in intensive care with suspected Covid-19
Since March 5, 4,050 inpatients have been discharged from hospital.
There have been no recorded deaths in Scotland for the third-day running, the update also showed.
Scotland’s death toll remains at 2,482.
A regional breakdown of the new figures show there have been two new cases recorded in the north and north-east.
Grampian’s total has risen by one to 1,419 and 375 cases have now been confirmed in the Highlands after a further person was diagnosed in the past 24 hours.
There are 47 people being treated for the virus in hospital in Grampian and six in the north of Scotland.
There have been no new cases in the islands; Orkney’s total remains at nine, 54 on Shetland and seven in the Western Isles.
