Two new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the north-east in the past 24 hours.
The latest figures from the Scottish Government show there have been 17 new confirmed positive cases across the country and there have been no registered deaths in the last 24 hours.
A regional breakdown of the figures shows there have been two new case recorded in the Grampian area and none in the Highlands in the past 24 hours. The region’s total number of positive cases now sits at 1,448 and 381 people respectively.
There have been no new cases in the islands.
The islands’ total positive cases since the pandemic began remains at 54 for Shetland, nine on Orkney and seven in the Western Isles.
A total of 355,898 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS Scotland labs and UK Government Labs to date with results showing 337,301 being confirmed negative while 18,597 were positive.
As of midnight a total of 260 were being treated in hospital, with two in intensive care with confirmed Covid-19.
Since March 5, 4,158 patients have been discharged from hospital.
Ms Sturgeon announced at today’s briefing that Scotland has gone two week without a confirmed Covid-19 death.
Scotland’s death toll remains at 2,491.
