Highlanders are being given the opportunity to grill First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and her government team later this month.
A public question and answer session is being held as part of a Scottish cabinet visit to Inverness on March 23 to enable people to put across their views on issues important to them.
The event is being held at The Ironworks from 7pm and there will be time for private discussion with SNP MSPs later.
Cabinet ministers will undertake a series of engagements at local businesses and organisations as part of the visit and it is likely that policy announcements, relevant to the Highlands, will be made.
Ms Sturgeon, who has been in office for more than 100 days, said the government’s strongest focus was on growing the economy, protecting public services, tackling inequality and empowering communities.
“The government I lead intends to be open, listening, and available in a way we have not seen before – the most open and accessible government that Scotland has ever had,” she added.
“That is why we are making sure that the business of government is open to everyone who wants to be involved, and why we are taking cabinet meetings to all parts of the country.
“Having direct involvement with all parts of society and members of the public is a large part of what this government is about.
“I am looking forward to hearing the views of the people of Inverness and taking action on them.”
The cabinet met in Dumfries on January 26, Aberdeen on February 16 and Alloa yesterday. (march2)
