A schoolgirl has become an online hit after penning a song in tribute to her favourite politician – Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale.
Amy Louise Rogers, from Dunfermline , Fife, posted the tune on social media site Facebook in response to the EU referendum.
The 16-year-old starts off by crediting crediting the SNP for “getting things done” but quips that “there’s only one Scottish politician for me.”
She sings: “Kezia, what should our country do? Cause I’m voting Labour now that I’m 16 to support my local constituency – that’s true, that’s true, that’s true.”
She continues: “Cause we’ve left the EU. Scotland decided to stay. Now we ask what should we do?
“Who should we trust? So I’m looking to you – my gal Kezia. What should our country do?
“Kezia – I’m putting my faith in you.”
Amy has described how she feels that Ms Dugdale has become an inspiration to young Scottish women.
She told the Daily Record: “I’ve recently been in contact with Kezia as I feel she’s really an inspirational figure for young Scottish women.
“Over the last year, my music has enabled me to work closely with politicians and the Scottish Parliament as a whole.
“I was also a finalist in this year’s Holyrood Rocks which is an initiative set up by the Scottish Parliament.
“So my natural interest in politics and music has come through in this song.”
