A shock election poll has predicted the Conservatives will miss out on an overall majority and SNP could slump to 34 seats.
It has Theresa May’s party as the largest with 314, down from 331 in 2015, Labour on 266, SNP down from 56 to 34 and the Lib Dems on 14.
Here’s some of the reaction from social media:
Labour 2015 ~ 232 seats. Exit poll puts Corbyn on 266. (Blair had 419 in 1997 landslide) #GE2017

May to win 17 seats FEWER than Cameron, exit poll says. Wow.#GE2017

Exit poll could be wrong, of course. But still bloody sensational #GE2017

It's called an exit poll because it means "exit Theresa"

Theresa's gamble has failed. David Cameron knows how she feels
